This article confirms my suspicion that Bio Fuels were doing more harm than good to our
environment. It’s an idea that “sounded” good at first. But, when you consider what
damages it truly causes to the overall environment and food prices which are
based on Corn Production which divert corn to making bio fuels instead of
food production, it’s too costly.
We need to try and get Hydrogen Fuel Cells for less cost since Hydrogen is the most
abundant source of energy in the Universe. We also need to promote more
strongly Solar Power, Wind Power and in the future, Fusion Reactors.
But, unless something drastic happens to change the mindset of our government, our
corporations and the general public at large in the United States, we will continue
to use hydrocarbon based fuels to power our cars, heat our homes and
produce electricity.
I have always felt over the years that our federal, state and local governments has no authority to collect taxes. But, because of the use of its courts and fines, people pay them regardless.
I feel its our public duty to not pay taxes to support a specific program that each of us may or may not feel is right or wrong to support. This action, that of not paying a specific tax for a specific program, is probably our greatest way of making our individual voices heard. This to me, is our democratic way of conducting our government. But, we don’t live in a pure democratic form of society and our government is structured as a Republic unfortunately.
People in general think we live in a Democracy. This is a false belief. We actually live in a Republic. We, as a individual tax payer, should not need to pay for all taxes that are levied against us. But, be aware, if you don’t pay for a specific program you might not like, make sure you know you shouldn’t and won’t get the benefits from that program you don’t support in the future in case you need it in case this can ever take place!
